Commercial Project

New Construction
Bridgewater-Raynham Sand & Stone (BRS)

Bridgewater, Ma

This new construction commercial building is the headquarters for BRS (Bridgewater-Raynham Sand and Stone).  The building is located at their sand and stone mining location and services as the primary location for the administrative offices.

In addition to administrative offices the building also houses the truck ticketing, conference rooms, public and private toilet rooms, large kitchen and miscellaneous storage rooms.  The primary offices each have access to an exterior balcony as well as the main conference room.  The balconies give elevated exterior access and views from all four sides of the building.

The ground floor has an exterior base of stone along with the vertical stone piers to give the building an attractive exterior appearance as well as a nod to the stone being produced at the site.  The remainder of the exterior walls are painted stucco, which gives the durability and resistance to air borne dust and debris located at this particular environment.  The use of glass storefront systems is used throughout the building design for natural light, visual monitoring and entry/access doors.

The overall exterior building design gives a grounded, sturdy base while balancing larger glass fenestration.  The colors used are cooler type and fairly neutral to enhance the stone used to tie to it's surroundings.
