Presently mjh Architects has been hired to design a renovation/alteration for an existing home in Burlington Massachusetts.  The existing home is a single story ranch style home located on an approximate half acre lot.  The home owners would like us to design a home that gives them additional space to accommodate their family needs. 

 

The proposed options below show the existing homes' roof being removed and a second floor added.  An oversized two car garage with a great room, office and mudroom above is also being considered for the new house layout.  Portions of the existing house will be re-configured (including the kitchen area) to provide a more efficient, open layout.  The home owners have requested to look at an option with different roof lines as well as a more "clean and simple" version.
